Challenge
The field was flaring 15 million cubic feet of associated gas per day due to a lack of nearby infrastructure. This resulted in significant carbon penalties from regulators, severe reputational damage from ESG investors, and the wasteful burning of a resource that could have been monetized for profit.
Solution
We deployed rapid-deployment modular gas compression skids that required minimal civil works and could be installed in weeks. The captured gas was immediately routed to power local electrical turbines, with excess sold to the national grid under a long-term power purchase agreement. This turned a compliance liability into a profitable utility project, achieving a full payback period in just two years while eliminating the visible flare stack entirely.
